Description: Recording Celeste was always exciting because I never knew where we were going when she photographed herself. A typical shoot involved packing her car with gear, hopping in, and ending up somewhere I would never have known existed. I'm still not sure where this place is, other than somewhere in Minnesota. It is a somber, slow moving episode where I have removed a great quantity of the sound to allow for a feeling of disjuncture and meditation. Something needed to be missing in the video to reflect the missing parts within the content of her photograph. In between photographs, she kept washing the elephant with care and concern. I don't think she missed a single spot. Celeste told me the story about the place after she had finished her photographs.
